Who am i???

record screech and freeze frame. you're probably wondering how i got here...

im tara, a person who was born in 2002. i had the type of childhood where i would bring my mp3 player to school and blast disturbia by rihanna on it. i also loved vocaloid and a lot of anime stuff. im a cat person but also a dog person in the way where i love to see dogs stick their heads out in moving cars.

i logged into neocities in 2024 -- i realized the internet was a much more fun place when i was younger (not without its flaws!) and that i had slowly grown to accept the worsening quality of the current internet. the rise of AI, twitters decline, streaming services being broken up into 1000 different sites each with 5 layers of subscriptions (remember when you could just order dvds from netflix???) led me to realize that i had to make a place for myself that was free of that.

now im slowly learning how to code... i tend to get frustrated if i dont understand something right away and i am not good at reading directions, so this is also a mental exercise for me to practice slowing down and be okay with sucking at things at the start.

my interests float from one thing to the next, but there are a few things that have stuck with me that i can always get excited about:

i have a lot of ideas for my website! i want to make a page dedicated to each interest listed above, hopefully my code literacy will grow as i go along! what else should you know about me? i love winter, im a talkative introvert, im some type of lesbo, and im working on being a morning person. i do like waking up early but i often start out in a bad mood... i shaved my head last summer so my hair is currently growing out.
